Ain’t it funny how we want to grow up so fast. But when we’re grown we just want to be kids again?
We went as a family to ‘Disney On Ice’ this weekend. It was freakin’ awesome! Seriously! Declan and Kylan were so jazzed to see Mickey and all his friends.
And Daphne and I were enthralled just watching them. Dancing. Singing. Not a care in the world. Memories were made that will last a lifetime.
Seeing the excitement and marvel in their eyes was worth every penny. And a sober reminder that we lose sight of what’s truly important way too often.
Growing Old (and Up) Is Hard.
As I often say, “life ain’t no joke.” But we make it harder on ourselves. We imprison our inner child. Rarely, if ever, letting it see the light of day. Life is too short. Too hard. And too painful to act like a ‘grown up’ all the time. To take ourselves too seriously. To not boogie down with your kids at ‘Disney on Ice.’
Christmas Is The Greatest Time of The Year!
It’s a time to celebrate! A time to rejoice. A time to release your inner kid. And most importantly, a time to reflect on the miracle of Jesus! The birth of the only One who can do for us what no one else can. Save us. Fill us. And bring us from darkness to light, death to life.
We don’t need tickets to ‘Disney On Ice’ to to be reminded of what matters. To forget all the pressures and anxieties of life. We really just need Jesus. And to know He came for US. For YOU! Because He loves us. Unimaginably so!
“Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!”– 2 Corinthians 9:15 NLT –
There’s so much magic, anticipation and goodness surrounding this time. I know, for some of you, this time might be difficult. But don’t ever lose hope. God can redeem anything. And remember, there’s coming a time when…
“He will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things will be gone forever.”– Revelation 21:4 NLT –
Remember the magic of Christmas. Unleash your inner kid! And never forget…
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”– Isaiah 9:6 ESV –
Be bold. Be brave. Keep the faith!
