Nathan Clark was a dear friend of mine and a brotha in Christ who went home to be with Jesus in the fall of 2014. I’m so thankful that God blessed my life and this world with Nathan. He was truly one of the sweetest people I’ve even known and touched so many lives. My idea for the Joy Fund was brought about by reflecting on my time with Nathan. He knew how to make people happy, and I want to continue his legacy of bringing the joy! I know that Nathan will be at the center of everything we do, looking down and smiling on us.
Revelation 21:4—“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
Nathan had another fantastic time not only with the soccer but learning about others that are not as fortunate. I don’t know if you realize the impact you have had in his life even with the small gestures like calling him personally to tell him you were excited that he was coming back to camp. As a mom who is constantly looking for role models, you are truly an easy Christian man for me to point to and remind Nathan of how God works in lives. Nathan has been sleeping with his soccer ball since camp and walks around the house with it at his feet. He loves the sport and more importantly sees that you can serve God and keep that passion.
