I’ve felt the LORD leading me for some time now to start chasing a new DREAM. And I knew the first step was to leave my job. The one that provided a stable salary to help support my family. So, at the end of January, I decided to leave my job to look full-time for businesses to buy.

It’s both scary and exciting

But, I believe that risk honors God. The other day my wonderful sister-n-law, Caitlin Clinard , asked me, “What’s success for you in what’s next?” I feel like I’ve already achieved it. Success for me was trusting God. Success for me was doing the hard thing. The easy thing would have been to stay in my ‘safe’ job. But life’s too short not to chase the dreams He’s put in our heart!

Have you given up on your dreams? Remember, if you stay in the boat, you’ll never walk on water!

“To play it safe is the riskiest decision we can make. To risk is the safest decision we can make with God. No matter the short-term implications, we must obey God with reckless abandon.” (Ed Stetzer)

REMINDER: It’s HARD to chase your #dreams. It’s easier not to. It’s easy to pinpoint all the ways you’ll fail. It’s easy to say, “it won’t happen because of ______, _______ and ______!” You name it. We can come up with a million reasons camouflaged as excuses why something won’t work. But we aren’t God. And we should NEVER limit Him.

Dreams are accomplished one decision at a time. One task at a time. One day at a time. Just like most things, it’s the daily grind for months and years that lead to your dreams. Don’t stop believing. Feed your faith to crush your doubt and fear! And never forget, He doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called!

At the end of the day, I’d rather come up short chasing my dreams than live a life of safety and comfort!

Have you given up on your dreams? What is He calling you to chase?

Be bold. Be brave. Keep the faith!
